Hi Leroy,

It was The Aspire One ZG5 from Wal-Mart. Kalyway's distros are on ThePirateBay, as well as on the hackintosh forums located at www.osx86project.org. The broadcom card was just a standard wireless card like this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dell-Inspiron-1501-Broadcom-Wireless-Card-BCM94311MCG_W0QQitemZ270550067055QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_LaptopAccess_RL?hash=item3efe0a676f

To be honest, any broadcom wireless card will work, its just OS X doesnt support Atheros cards at the moment.

Good luck with your iNetbook :)

(p.s - while I think of it, I've not tried Snow Leopard yet!)

Hi Dave,

Sorry, I wouldnt be able to point you to any 'free' resources. It's officially illegal, however I've basically purchased a Leopard license, just for it. Obviously this means its still in violation of Apple's AUP/Terms, however I think they will agree that 'at least I've paid for it'. I do also own an iPhone, iMac and the latest MBP - Running Windows on my netbook would be a horrible thing! :/ Once Apple come out with their own netbook/tablet/etc then I'll most likely buy that to replace the plasticy/tacky Aspire One!

Your first port of call would be to google 'Kalaway 10.5' - You should be good to go after that ;)

If you get stuck on drivers, give me a shout and I'll see if I can find them somewhere!

Junr 2009 - I don't know when you wrote this article but I too have almost given up on the AWBS (another whack of BS) 2 weeks dicking around with settings and talking to... or should I say trying to talk to the likes of resellerClub, Planetdomain etc etc to get the program into some kind of commercially acceptable platform... It's like pulling teeth out through your rear end ! These people have, what is on the face of it, quite a nice little product but unless you want to talk about giving them money your wasting your time trying to get any assistance or support. It must be a big company thing who knows.

Hey.
Nice post on 10 Mac Productivity Applications for developers. However i beg to differ with regard to Little snapper. Have you tried Voila? Its a great application for capturing snapshots. I use it a lot in my field of work, and it is great. It also has received some great reviews. You can check out the application at
